Dan’s work with the gang kept him busy and so we ended up not being bothered by him for almost two weeks. I was confused as to what she meant but then it dawned on me she had told Dan I was planning on leaving. I looked up at Billy and the goon continued to punch his bloody face, because the man had caught him while he was still asleep, he never had a chance to defend himself.
Dan started shouting, “you thought you could leave again and take my daughter away? Cathy tried the same thing and now she’s buried next to your precious Jose.” I knew I hadn’t heard from Cathy since I had been back but had hoped she was ok, but now I knew Dan had killed her. The goon finally climbed off Billy, and I saw that Billy was covered in blood and it didn’t look like he was breathing. I tried to climb up to him but realized Dan must have broken some of my ribs when he kicked me.
I finally pushed through the pain and climbed beside Billy and felt his neck for a pulse. It was weak but I did feel one and I saw that he was breathing but it was shallow. Dan was shouting at mom now and when she yelled back at him, he smacked her so hard she fell to the ground. I looked through the door and saw another goon was holding Heather down on her stomach while he laid on top of her and forced his nine-inch dick into her. She stopped crying and got up, but before she left, she told me the police would come to see me, and I had better not say I didn’t know who attacked me and Billy or Dan might end up hurting Heather.
It wasn’t the local cops that came to see me it was three FBI agents. They had been investigating the biker gang when it had led them to Jefferson’s gang. I tried to play dumb at first, but they told me that they had enough info to put Dan and the rest of the gang in jail for the rest of their lives but wanted me to testify also. I told them I couldn’t because Dan had Heather, and I couldn’t risk him hurting her. When I told them this, they looked at each other and one left the room, the remaining two explained that would get my daughter back and put us in witness protection if I testified. We talked for over two hours, and they also agreed that if Billy survived this, he could go into protection with us.
I finally decided this was my chance to end this nightmare and agreed to help them as best I could. They said they had a tactical swat team ready to raid Dan’s home and get Heather back and they would round up both gangs shortly after. They kept one agent in the room with me when they left, and it was four hours later that I got news of what had happened.
The FBI raided Dan’s home and had gotten Heather and Cathy’s daughter out safely. Mikey and several goons had been at the home and Mikey had tried to pull a gun on the agents and they had shot and killed him. Dan and the others surrendered immediately and were now in custody. They found all Dan’s business records and even Dan Sr’s record on the gang’s activity. Over the next week they arrested twenty-eight members of Jefferson’s gang and thirty-six biker gang members. They also found evidence of bribery with six local cops and the sheriff that had fucked me at the biker bar. The hardest part to hear was that they also found that my mom had been helping them launder money and had millions of dollars in various accounts that belonged to her and the gang.
THIRTY-SEVEN YEARS LATER-2024
I was reunited with Heather two days later and I have never cried that hard in my life. When I was finally released from the hospital the FBI put us in protective custody till the trial six months later. I testified to everything I had seen and gave all the information I knew to the FBI. In the end several lower gang members cut plea deals for lighter sentences and the leaders of both gangs got several life sentences. Dan got the death sentence for the murder of his father and Cathy but hung himself in his jail cell three months after his trial. One of the gang members led the FBI to all the bodies of the gang’s murders and they all finally got proper burials. I was able to lay flowers on Jose and his sisters graves and tell them I was sorry I got them killed.
Mom got sentenced to forty years for her crimes but never cooperated with authorities or tried to cut a deal. The last time I saw her was at her trail and the last thing she said to me was she hated me for ruining her life. Mom ended up dying ten years ago after suffering a massive stroke in her cell, she was buried in an unmarked grave that I have never visited. Billy Stayed in a coma for almost two years before he passed away without ever waking up. I had him buried next to Jose and I still visit them every two weeks and tell them how life is going.
Heather ended up going to college and married a nice man and had two daughters and a son, so I became a grandma. When they were dating, and it got serious she had me with her when she told him about her past. We all ended up in tears and he told us he was sorry that we had to go through all this, and he still wanted to be with Heather. The wedding was beautiful, and Heather has been happy ever since. Her kids grew up and the oldest just had their first kid and I became a great grandmother to a beautiful little boy.
I am now fifty-four years old and never married or even dated since I got away from my miserable home life. Heather has tried to convince me to meet someone, but I always tell her I’m happy alone. I am back to nursing but have a new name and identity now and am very much a loner. We still get together for holidays but Heather and the grandkids moved to Arizona five years ago so I don’t see them as much as I would like. So that is the story of my life and while it was often unhappy, I know it could have been worse, and I am thankful to have survived to see my daughter have a good life.
