Katie Wilson was trapped. Sitting in the back of the police car she couldn’t help but notice that there was no door handle. That must be to keep criminals from escaping, she thought to herself. But she wasn’t a criminal!
So what if she’d been speeding. Everybody else did it and besides she had to get home in time to have supper ready for Richard. It was just her luck that his big brother, Harry, was the pig of the day. He could have just given her a ticket. But no, he had to make a big deal out of it. If only she hadn’t lost her temper. If only she hadn’t told him to go to hell. If only…
She didn’t pull over when the cop car came after her. When she did finally stop she was dragged out of the driver’s seat and verbally assaulted by the big burly cop.
“What the hell do you think you’re doing,” he shouted at her. “You could have killed yourself, you crazy fool.”
“It’s none of your damn business.” She remembered trying to slap him, but he had immediately restrained her with one hand. She felt a cold rush of fear as the cuffs were snapped on.
“My brother’s happiness, is very much my business.” He shook her! “And you can consider yourself lucky you’re not coming home with me, you sassy little brat. I’m no lovesick pushover like Richard. I wouldn’t think twice about turning you over my knee and paddling some sense into you. Believe me, young lady, I’d turn your backside a shade of red that would put that hair of yours to shame.”
That’s when she swore at him. No man was ever going to hurt her again and cop or no cop he wasn’t getting away with threatening her. She briefly regretted kicking him in the shins as soon as she saw the look of rage on his face. Then she was unceremoniously shoved into the cop car, the door slamming behind her. Her anger returned with a vengeance. Of all the nerve!
She could see her future brotherinlaw, Harry, having an animated cell phone conversation with someone. It was no doubt Richard getting Harry’s version of the heated argument she’d just had with him. Just wait until Richard heard about the awful things his brother had said to her, then he’d be sorry. Richard always took her side. Always protected her. He’d never hurt her, ever.
Katie’s family had done awful things to her. She’d been beaten when her father drank, and when he didn’t drink. She’d felt used and abused and still carried a chip on her shoulder, but she was entitled, wasn’t she! At seventeen she struck out on her own. No matter what happened to her it couldn’t be as bad as home. Nothing could be that bad.
She met Richard at night school. One look into those crystal blue eyes and she felt safer than she ever had. His family was Polish. He was born in Germany in the backseat of a taxicab. He always laughed when he told that . Even though he was twentysix he oozed boyish charm and a mischievous grin. Katie called him her teddybear, big and cuddly.
Harry was off the phone now pacing back and forth between the two cars. Katie hoped he’d wear himself out and maybe throw a blood clot or something. No such luck. He had no right to be pissed off after what he’d done to her. Just wait until Richard gets here, she thought. I bet he flattens you good.
The news came on the radio. It was 4:00 pm. Katie was sure at least 20 minutes had passed. She was about to start banging on the window to get Harry’s attention when the cab pulled up. Richard had arrived. Finally! He didn’t even look at her, but marched right over to where Harry was leaning on the trunk of the car. The two of them seemed to be arguing back and forth. Then they stopped and turned to look at her.
Katie had seen Richard mad before but never at her. He looked mad now and Katie cringed in the backseat wishing she could disappear. The car door opened and Richard leaned in to help her out. She burst into tears burying her face into his chest.
“Are you alright, Katie?”
“He yelled at me,” she cried pointing her cuffed hands at Harry. “And he called me names and shook me, too.”
“See what I mean,” Harry grumbled as he undid the handcuffs.
Richard just shook his head. Why did he seem so sad, Katie wondered. The car wasn’t damaged and she was fine. He slipped his arm around her. “Let’s go home Katie,” he said as he led her to the passenger side of the car. Always the gentleman he opened the door for her dropping a kiss on the top of her head. Then he got in and drove them home. Neither of them spoke.
Something was different about him and Katie sensed it wasn’t the time to demand he do something about Harry’s attitude. When the car pulled up into the driveway he came around and opened her door. He led her into the house never taking his arm from around her shoulders. Once inside, he escorted her to the dining room.
“Sit,” was all he said when he pulled out a chair for her.
“I’m sorry about the car, but Harry…”
“Stop it, Katie! Stop it right now. I don’t want to hear another word out of you. Is that clear?” He yelled at her! This just can’t be happening she thought to herself. He’d never yelled at her before. Two big tears began their descent to her chin. She nodded sniffing loudly.
“I’ve tried to be patient with you Katie. I thought after the shit you’ve lived through that over time things would improve. Maybe if I did everything in my power to show you how much I cared about you that you’d learn to trust me. And slowly you’d grow to trust other people, too. And just maybe you wouldn’t be so angry. Well it’s obvious that I was wrong. You act like the world owes you everything you want, when and how you want it with no regard for anyone else’s feelings.”
“But, that’s not true!” How could he say those awful things. They weren’t true. They weren’t!
“It certainly is true, young lady, and I’ve had it up to here with your attitude. Nothing is your fault. Just because your father spent half his time trying to beat you to death doesn’t mean that you have the right to treat everyone else like shit. I know you weren’t responsible for his behavior, but you are responsible for yours. You’re the one who was speeding. You’re the one who tried to out run the cops. You’re the one who swore at my brother.”
“But he…”
“He did what Katie.” Richard snapped, clearly exasperated his fist struck the dining room table. The noise made Katie shrink back in her chair. “He stopped you from nearly killing yourself. He told you off. He didn’t assault you or punch you out, he tried to shake some sense into you, and I’m grateful that he did. Anyone else would have thrown you in a cell and left you there to rot.”
Katie was crying now. Richard was mad at her, too. He didn’t understand. She sat in the chair staring at the tear stains growing on the front of her green dress. This just wasn’t fair!
“I happen to be in love with you, Katie Wilson. No matter how badly you behave that won’t change. But, as of today, your attitude is going to change and I’m going to make sure it does.”
Suddenly he was grabbing her upper arm, propelling her out of her chair. She was too shocked to struggle. As he sat down he pulled her over his knees, pinning her with one arm. She felt his elbow pressing into her back while his left hand gripped her right hip.
“Let me go!” She yelled. Panic set in and she started to fight trying to kick, scratch, bite anything to get away. “You can’t do this to me!” She screeched as she pounded her fists again and again against his leg. She realized how helpless she was as she felt her light cotton dress being dragged up her legs and over her back. She screamed “Noooooo!” As her white cotton panties slid over her bottom and down her legs.
This couldn’t be happening. She was eighteen years old for God’s sake! But her bare bottom was sticking up in the air like an open invitation. She had never been so humiliated in her entire life. He was really going to spank her. No one had ever spanked her, ever! She twisted frantically against those hard legs. Through tear filled eyes she peered over her shoulder just in time to see his raised right hand begin to swing down.
Smack! Smack! Smack!
“Owwww. Nooooo. Stooop.” Her bottom was on fire. She was dying. No matter how much she squirmed and tried to wiggle that large hand kept up a steady rhythm. Right cheek, left cheek, both cheeks.
“If you ever take another chance with your life again you won’t be able to sit anywhere for a month. Is that clear Katie.” He yelled between slaps.
“I’m soooorry. Owwww. I won’t do it again. Owwww. I promise. Owww. It hurts. Owww. I’m sooorry. Owwww. No more. Owww. Please stoooop. Owwww.”
He wasn’t listening to her pleas or cries for mercy. That hand just kept smacking away turning her virgin cheeks from pink, to rose, to red, until she started sobbing. Her legs were fluttering like a bird’s wings. Nothing would eliminate the incredible heat in her bottom. She stopped fighting and let the pain wash over her in waves. Her anger seemed to melt away. Her bottom was throbbing. That stinging was the worse pain she’d ever felt.
As suddenly as the spanking began, it stopped. Her panties were sliding back up into place. The dress fell down as she was lifted up. Then she was wrapped into those strong arms. She sobbed clutching at his denim shirt. He lifted her effortlessly and carried her into the bedroom. He sat on the edge of the bed, pulling her onto his lap. Careful to balance her on one leg so that her sore bottom touched nothing. He rocked her back and forth while she cried. She could feel his hot breath in her hair.
It seemed like hours had passed before Katie stopped crying. She lifted her head sniffling and looked into those crystal blue eyes. She felt warm and safe. It didn’t make sense.
“I still love you, Katie.” He said. Then he smiled and kissed the tip of her nose.
“You’re not mad? You don’t hate me?”
“No, I’m not mad. I’m not your father, Katie. People like him should be boiled in oil in my opinion. To most of us, spanking doesn’t mean hating. It means loving. Loving someone enough to stop them from hurting themselves even if it means risking their anger. Maybe that sounds strange to you but I think that’s just because your family was so warped. My mom and dad were pretty strict. If they said no, they meant it. When we crossed the line we got spanked. But we never doubted that they cared about us.”
Katie smiled at this. She’d never been spanked before today. She’d never been forgiven either. Cuddled up in those arms she was even able to laugh a bit.
“What’s so funny.” Richard asked.
“Just the thought of someone spanking Harry. I’d have paid big bucks to see that.”
“I suspect he feels the same way about you, Katie.” He grinned smoothing back her hair with his hand. The same hand that had just finished spanking her was now comforting her. “So I guess I should ask you if you still love me?”
“Yes, I do. I guess you were right about me though. I think I learned to strike first before anyone even got a chance to hurt me. I guess I’ll have to work on that.”
“Well, I certainly agree with you. So here’s how you’re going to start fixing the problem. First, there’s no car for you. The ticket for your adventure today was $78.00, so no car for 78 days. Any argument?” She shook her head. “Secondly, today is Friday, so I’ll give you until Sunday at dinnertime to call Harry and apologize. If you don’t, I’ll stuff you into the car and take you over to his place and you can apologize in person. Any arguments and you’ll find yourself over my knee getting a lesson in manners. Understood?” Katie was smiling now and nodded. “And last but not least, any more of your bratty behavior or one of those tantrums I’ve seen you throw when you don’t get your own way, and I’ll paddle your bare bottom until you can’t sit down. Is that clear, young lady?”
Her response melted into a long passionate kiss. This time when she felt his hand dragging her dress up her legs it was met by her hand dragging her panties down and off.
